I am Helgi Skulason. I was born in Reykjavik in 1958 and have lived there ever since.

Living in Iceland is a great place to live being a nature photographer with all its contrasts and constantly changing light.

Photography has always been a passion and I started when I was 10 years old taking photos of birds. I am self-taught and seek the artist I want to be.

My greatest passion is photographing birds in an artistic way though all aspects of Icelandic nature are wonderful subjects.

I have held 3 photo exhibitions in Reykjavik with good success and 1 book, Wise birds of Iceland, has been published.
